Thanksgiving is almost here, and many people are already starting the whirlwind preparation of their annual feast. But if you’re traveling, not feeling like cooking up a big feast or have something go wrong with your home preparations, you might want to keep this list handy.
Turkey disasters can send anyone into a panic—remember Clark Griswold’s turkey jerky in “Christmas Vacation” or the Bumpus hounds stealing Ralphie’s family turkey? We sure do. This Thanksgiving, whether you need some emergency mashed potatoes or your family just wants to celebrate without all the cooking and cleanup, visit one of these restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.
Although they’re all national chains, you should still call your local establishment to check their hours, availability and pricing just to be safe.
Restaurants That Are Open on Thanksgiving Day With Specials
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill
Select Applebee’s restaurants will host a Thanksgiving Day meal featuring turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy and garlicky green beans (in addition to Applebee’s regular menu items). Check your local restaurant’s hours to be sure!
Black Angus Steakhouse
Make your reservations now for Black Angus’ Thanksgiving dinner buffet from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., and you can get your choice of soup or garden salad with warm molasses bread, roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sage dressing, sweet potato, steamed broccoli and fresh cranberry sauce. And, of course, there will be pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Pricing is $31.95 for adults and $15.95 for kids, but might vary by location. They are also offering a “weigh & pay” option to fill a to-go box from their buffet and pay $12.99 per pound.
Their normal menu is also available after 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
You can dine at their restaurant on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., or you can choose delivery or curbside pickup meals. Their Premium Farmhouse Feast (starting at $12.49 per person) arrives packed cold and serves up to 10 people. It includes slow-roasted turkey, hickory-smoked ham, bread and celery dressing, corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, rolls, green beans with ham, cranberry relish, macaroni and cheese, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie and apple pie. Simply bring it home, heat it up and serve! Open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
You can also get a taste of their other Thanksgiving food any day with their signature slow-roasted turkey dinners, including their new Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich starting at $12.49.
Enjoy a traditional plated Thanksgiving meal at Boston Market. Thanksgiving food specials are either roasted turkey or honey-glazed ham and plenty of side dishes, including mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, sweet corn and vegetable stuffing along with cornbread or dinner rolls. For dessert, enjoy pumpkin pie or apple pie. Choose from catering (check local availability for carry-out or delivery) for six people or 12 people. Family side items and whole pies are available for carry-out without ordering full catering if you’re in a pinch. Or you can order individual meals off the normal menu for your Thanksgiving food.
Buca di Beppo
Buca di Beppo will be open during its normal hours (11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.) Thanksgiving Day. Guests can dine in, purchase catering trays, order a meal to go or even have the meal delivered (check locally for availability). The traditional Thanksgiving Feast includes roasted turkey and all the traditional sides. homestyle gravy, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, spicy Italian sausage stuffing, seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, bread and butter, and pumpkin pie. The small serves three people ($99) and the large serves six ($186). You can pre-order until 8 a.m. on November 22, and pickup is available from Nov. 21 – 24.
If you want catering, they are offering either cold (ready to heat and eat) or hot (ready to serve), with a half pan that feeds ten for $330 or a full pan that feeds 20 for $560. Make sure you also order by 8 a.m. on November 22.
The Capital Grille
Their Thanksgiving menu includes slow-roasted turkey with brioche stuffing, French green beans and cranberry-pear chutney with Sam’s mashed potatoes or pecan-crusted mashed sweet potatoes with hot honey to share. They also have an assortment of featured wines. The price is $47 for adults and $17 for kids 12 and younger. Pumpkin cheesecake is an additional $12 per person.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill
You can enjoy all the Italian food you want at Carrabba’s this Thanksgiving! They will be open and accepting catering orders ahead of time. They also have a special right now, the Amour 3-Course Dinner For Two, for $44 that includes an appetizer to share, two soups or salads and two signature mains. Yum!
You can visit Chart House for great Thanksgiving food! Whether you dine in on Thanksgiving Day or bring Chart House home to your dinner table, they have everything you need to make it a meal to remember. Their to-go family packs ($130) serve 3-4 people, and you can choose from their famous slow-roasted prime rib or turkey dinner as your main, a salad, accompaniments and dessert. Be sure to pre-order by November 18 to get your feast on time!
On Thanksgiving, Cracker Barrel will start serving its Thanksgiving food specials a bit differently. They are offering curbside, pick-up, delivery and dine-in service. Their delicious and ready-to-eat Heat N’ Serve Holiday Family Meal To-Go in two sizes can serve either 8-10 people or 4-6. Orders can be placed online or through the Cracker Barrel app at least 24 hours in advance of pickup. Available for pickup from November 19 to 26, but you can order now and get a free bonus card with your pickup.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House
Del Frisco’s Grille will be open on Thanksgiving Day and is offering a Thanksgiving meal that consists of 20 oz. prime rib, horseradish cream, red wine au jus, and chateau mashed potatoes. The restaurant’s regular dinner menu will also be available on Thanksgiving Day.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will remain open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and it will be serving up meals from the full menu and a special three-course special ($53). The menu includes a choice of Herb-Roasted Turkey, Filet Mignon or Prime Bone-In Ribeye accompanied by a starter, traditional holiday trimmings and a dessert. Children can enjoy their own special three-course menu for $25! Make your reservations now.
Fogo de Chão
This Internationally-renowned steakhouse is delivering joy this Thanksgiving with delicious offerings available at restaurants nationwide. Guests will discover both new and traditional holiday staples. The Full Churrasco Thanksgiving To Go experience that feeds up to six people and includes roasted turkey and au jus, Brazilian holiday sides, Pão de Queijo, and Fogo’s cocoa fudge brownies. Holiday To Go à la carte options are also available. Early ordering has already begun, and pick-up starts November 15.
Fogo de Chão’s Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go is pre-cooked and ready to reheat at home. Available for pre-orders beginning by visiting a local restaurant or online via Fogo.com/catering. Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go orders will be available for pick-up by 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 24. Limited delivery on Thanksgiving Day.
In addition to guest favorites like steak, meatloaf and pot roast, Golden Corral will also offer a special Thanksgiving buffet. This feast includes a roasted turkey, holiday glazed ham or new this year, a holiday roast beef. An array of traditional sides and dessert is also available. For $16.99, you get a festive box with three each of four seasonal flavors plus four mini glazed doughnuts. Perfect for Thanksgiving morning or to take as a sweet treat to your feast, these are available now through Nov. 24.
They are giving everyone something to be grateful for this Thanksgiving with an array of options for every type of celebration. All Macaroni Grill locations will be open on Thursday, Nov. 24, and serving up a traditional Thanksgiving Three Course menu – including soup or salad, Roasted Turkey Breast, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sausage & Apple Stuffing, Brussels sprouts or broccolini and dessert – for $34 per person. A kid’s Thanksgiving meal will also be available for $17.
Maggiano’s Little Italy
This Italian restaurant will be open! Guests can dine in with Maggiano’s family-style Thanksgiving meal or carry out a hot or cold prepared carryout bundle that feeds four to five people. Carryout bundles are either $179.99 (cold) or $189.99 (hot) and are available to order starting on Nov. 16. Orders must be placed by 8 p.m. the night prior to pick up, and pick up is available Nov. 22 through Nov. 24. Call your local restaurant or order online.
Marie Callender’s offers each guest their choice of a freshly roasted turkey dinner or oven-baked ham. Each is served with a soup or salad and a slice of either apple or pumpkin pie. Kid’s Thanksgiving meals are also available, as well as feast and pies that serve four to six people. Price and participation vary by location, so visit their locations page to view your local Marie Callender’s holiday menu and order online.
This popular eatery will be open for its normal hours – 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
McCormick & Schmick’s
Wine and dine at McCormick & Schmick’s this Thanksgiving. The restaurant is offering Thanksgiving food specials such as a traditional Thanksgiving meal consisting of your choice of soup or salad, with roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, butternut squash casserole and seasonal vegetables. Reservations are highly recommended. Adults eat for $35 and kids for $13. The regular menu will also be available. A Thanksgiving Feast To Go is also available and feeds four to six people for $220. It is the same Thanksgiving meal as served in the restaurant, with the addition of bread and butter and traditional pumpkin pie. Pre-orders are required, and all orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 21.

Their full menu will also be available as well as wine pairings.
From Nov. 22 through Nov. 28, Red Robin is offering free delivery. Plus, if you buy one large pizza, you can get another for 50% off!
That’s not all! Customers who place an order of $100 or more from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 for pickup or delivery from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31 will receive 15% off their order.

Take the stress out of Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy their In-Restaurant Thanksgiving Day Menu, which includes a starter (choice of Caesar salad, steak house salad or lobster bisque), entrée (sliced oven-roasted turkey, Ruth’s sausage and herb stuffing, homemade turkey gravy and cranberry relish), side (choice of garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole, or green beans with roasted garlic) and dessert (pumpkin cheesecake and vanilla ice cream). Each purchase also includes leftovers to take home. The cost is $44 per adult and $17 per child. You can also pre-order a meal (plus all the sides) to-go for pick up on Nov. 23 from noon to 5 p.m.
Smith & Wollensky
The high-end steakhouse will trade in steak for turkey this Thanksgiving, with a special four-course turkey meal available on Thanksgiving Day. The price is $65 per adult and $29 per child and includes herb-roasted turkey breast, pumpkin pie and everything in between. The traditional dinner menu will also be available if you are craving steak.
Many locations will be open, but expect some to close early. Some Starbucks located in business districts or inside office buildings may be closed. Starbucks locations that are inside Target stores will also be closed, as Target is closed on Thanksgiving.
STK Steakhouse will be open on Thanksgiving Day and featuring a turkey meal with all the trimmings, seasonal cocktails and pumpkin specials. Takeout and catering are also available for Thanksgiving.
This Thanksgiving, all locations nationwide will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with special holiday offerings. Guests can savor and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Three Course Prix Fixe menu or choose from the full dinner menu.
