5 Carry On Bag Traveling Essentials
1. Power Bank
As two people who are always using our phones for traveling, we always think it’s useful to carry a power bank with you on your travels. Whether it’s a short flight or a long-haul adventure, a power bank will make sure you always have the power to navigate your way destination when you land, or even to just let family and friends know you’ve got there safely.
Never underestimate the power of earplugs. Simple yet powerful, especially if you’re a light sleeper. I always like to try and catch a bit of shut-eye on a plane journey, and airplanes are naturally noisy places, and that’s without the sound of people chatting, etc.
I started bringing moisturizer on all my long-haul flights when I realized just how dry flying makes your skin. Flying naturally dehydrates your skin, so it’s important to stay hydrated by drinking water, but having some moisturizer can help make your skin feel rejuvenated again during and after a flight.
4. Phone, Laptop or Tablet for Entertainment
When flying long-haul you’ll often be treated to a choice of movies and TV shows, but sometimes there may not be something you like, or sometimes onboard entertainment isn’t offered. So for when you want to watch your own things and stay entertained, a tablet or phone is perfect.
Download your favorite shows via Netflix and you’re all set! This is also useful if you’ve got a layover and need to stay entertained. Also, lots of airplanes now offer onboard Wi-Fi, so you can even work on your flight, or chat with family and friends.
5. Reusable Water Bottle
Plastic bottles are outdated, so invest in a reusable water bottle that you can take with you on board (you can get collapsible ones, which are useful!). All airports will have free water fill-up points which you can use to top up your water, and on your flight, you can kindly ask the air host if they’ll fill up your water bottle.
