Holiday hype starts … now. World Market has decided and made it so.
But if spooky just isn’t your thing, or the Most Wonderful Time of the Year is just never long enough for you, we’ve got good news: World Market has launched its Christmas collection. In August. Deck the halls!
Holidays in August at World Market — Our Favorite Finds
World Market is known for its old-school-looking, “Golden days of yore”-esque Christmas decor. And this year’s collection delivers just that. The retailer also has a great rewards program. And we are big fans of the 10% discount that reward members get for using in-store pickup.
“Wow … you already set up your tree,” people say when entering your home in early November. Make sure that tree is extra special this year with World Market’s wide-ranging ornaments, from a bubble tea food truck to chili peppers.
Hot Sauce Advent Calendar
We love a grown-up Advent calendar at RetailMeNot. And this one offers a spicy holiday countdown (you’ve already started your holiday countdown, so why not shop early for Advent calendars?). World Market also has advent calendars for noodles, tea and shortbread this year.
Stockings are pretty much front-and-center all season long, right there on your mantle, in the background of all your photos, in your direct line of sight as you sit by the fire and watch Christmas movies and wrap gifts. If you put them up right after Halloween (you’re shopping for Christmas stuff in August, so we know you do), you don’t want them to be eyesores. These adorable stockings are festive but also chic.
Woodcut Light-Up Mid Century Motel
If you’re shopping for holiday decor before you’ve even sent the kids back to school, it’s probably safe to say you’re a little … shall we say … “extra” when it comes to the holidays. This wooden cutout is traditional-looking enough but will make everyone do a double-take.
Holiday Napkin Rings (Set of 4)
You probably have the holiday plates, the holiday appetizer plates, the holiday cups and the holiday places settings — but do you have holiday napkin rings? If the answer is, “not YET I don’t,” snag this set of four for $15.96.
Early holiday hype is nothing new. We’ve seen retailers pushing Black Friday in October for years now. Retailers often release their holiday toy lists at the end of August or early September. And Christmas has always rushed into stores the moment the clock strikes midnight on Oct. 31. Sorry, Thanksgiving. But holiday decor in early August is surprisingly early, even for us. We see that as a win, though — whether you’re Team Evil Clown or Team Santa or BOTH, you’ve got plenty to shop right now.
